The Father’s House of Prayer is a regional house of prayer in Sylva, North Carolina. Launched in 2006, our mission is to demonstrate the love of Father God and serve our community through worship, prayer and equipping in God’s Word.

During weekly gatherings, our spiritual family meets to grow together in discipleship and community. We have a time of worship, teaching, fellowship and prayer together.

Our weekly gatherings meet on Sundays at 2:00PM. All are welcome to come pray, worship and spend time in the Lord’s presence with us.

Our gatherings are not “church” as usual. In fact, we do not consider ourselves a local church (by the westernized definition of the word), but a house of prayer where believers from any local fellowship can gather in unity to worship and pray for God’s will to be done in our lives, our region and our world. We long to see the Body of Christ in unity just as Jesus prayed we would be.

As a house of prayer, FHOP’s highest priority is to minister to the Lord in worship and prayer. From the place of prayer, we discover God’s agenda and receive His Spirit’s power to reach others with the Gospel and His love and truth.

Our greatest desire is to serve the Lord above our own needs and wants. We may not offer every option a local church does. Nonetheless, we want to be a place for all believers to join in unity to exalt Jesus as Lord and pray for our community, the Body of Christ and the world.

We also emphasize equipping the Body of Christ through teaching and preaching, as well as ministering to one another through the gifts of the Holy Spirit and prayer.

Join us in The Prayer Room and as we gather weekly on Sunday afternoons to worship, pray and be equipped for the work of God’s Kingdom through the teaching and preaching of His Word.
