The Lord has shown us that it is His presence which is to set us apart, to distinguish us as His people.
Just as it was His presence with the Israelites in the wilderness that set them apart as His people, His presence is to be obvious in our spirit and in our lives. His Spirit within us and our demonstrating this in how we carry out our lives reveals that there is something different about us.
This is our desire and aim at FHOP. We want His presence to be obvious in all we do in our lives and as we join together for worship, prayer and equipping.
His presence is ever near us–His Holy Spirit lives within every born-again believer. He sings over us at all times with songs of His love and deliverance. He has made the way for us to grow in companionship and partnership with Him because of Jesus’ atoning sacrifice.
We want to cultivate a close relationship with the Lord and to know His love not just in our heads but by experience and in our hearts. As we grow closer to Him and seek His ways, we will be transformed. We will act more like Jesus would in every season and situation.
Prayer: Show us Your way, Lord, that we may know You and become more deeply and intimately acquainted with You. May the Father’s House of Prayer be distinguished by Your presence, God. May Your presence go with us and give us rest; this is our prayer (Exodus 33:13-14).
“You are a hiding place for me;
You, Lord, preserve me from trouble,
You surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance.
Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with My eye upon you.”
(Psalm 32:7-8 AMPC)
